In 1940, Richard & Maurice McDonald opened a small drive thru restaurant in San Bernardino, California. They visioned their restaurant would be simple, affordable, and slick. In 1954, Ray Kroc visited the McDonald's Brothers to sell his Multimixer Machine. Ray was intrigued by the McDonald's operation and how it served food so quickly and efficiently. This fascination lead Kroc to the universal franchise serving the everyday customer!

The Beginning of A Burger
Ray Kroc quickly realized that the $.15 burgers would be the basis of his empire. Ray imitated the auto industry assembly line and by 1958, McDonald's would sell its 100 millionth hamburger.
